SBU日本人会（JSO）のグループへようこそ！ JSOはこのキャンパスにいる数少ない日本人を集結させる団体です。日本人または日本語喋れる人は大歓迎! 主な活動内容は： 飲み会 BBQ/お鍋 スポーツ シティーのイベントに参加 情報提供 ボランティア活動 日本文化に関する行事 などなど 最終的な目標はストーニーの日本人の人口を増やすことです。

Welcome to JSO (Japanese Students Organization)! This club is open to ANYONE and encourages anyone interested in Japanese culture, learning Japanese, making Japanese friends, or just want a place to hang out and meet new people, to come on down to our meetings! Our goal is to make a tight knit community of the small amount of Japanese people we have on campus, and the people who are interested in anything Japanese. We're also creating networks among other Japanese association in the Long Island/Manhattan area.

We were formally known as Japanese Cultural Association (JCA). However, we have added more goals and changed our constitution. Because of this, we decided to change our club name to Japanese Student Organization. We wanted to create a community for people that speaks Japanese, regardless of their origin, and promote the culture to other students on campus at the same time.

We've been doing events such as:

Tsukimi (moon festival)

Sushi Night

Onigiri Night

Movie Night

Hinamatsuri

BBQ

Boston Career Forum

Volunteer Work

Collaborated Events with other cultural club

etc.

This year, we are planning a large scale event called Japan Night. It will be the first time for JSO/JCA to hold an event such as this.
